Book Marketing Tips For Authors

So I thought I would create sheet that they could print out that included some tips, tricks and cheet’s that will help them market their book.

Have copies with you at all times to give away, dont always try to sell – give often.
Have business cards listing where they can buy a physical and digital copy.
Give your friends dozens of your business cards and ask them to hand them out.
Create a video trailer for your story and have CD copies with you at all times to give away.
Always have something to invite people too, a seminar, online event, signing etc.
Create an online survey to get feedback from those who have read it and those who haven’t.
Post any responses you receive and answer any criticism tactfully.
Set up an email capture system and stay in touch regularly.
Create a blog that goes into behind the scene details about your book.
Create videos that have you chatting with your readers talking about it.
Start a podcast where you chat about your story, ask people to email you questions before the recording for you to answer.
Write an article about your subject for the local newspaper and only mention your novel at the end of the article.
Contact your local high school and college and ask to give a talk about your subject to the student body.
Start a club made of volunteers that desire to work on your books subject.
Find and partner with small and large organizations that focus on your subject.
Join a couple news organizations in your local are for credibility.
Donate a couple of copies to organizations that run contests as prizes.
Begin to write a new manuscript as soon as possible.
NEVER, NEVER stop promoting your newly finished project and at the same time mention the paperback your working on next.
